    Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) is distributed in tissues particularly heart, liver, muscle and kidney. The enzyme found in circulation is a mixture of five isoenzymes based on their mobility. Elevated serum levels of LDH are found in serum in myocardial infarction, liver disease, renal disease, certain forms of anemia, malignant diseases and progressive muscle dystrophy.

    The Cypress Diagnostics kit Lactate Dehydrogenase is an in vitro diagnostic medical device intended to be used for the quantitative measurement of lactate dehydrogenase in human serum. The device is not automated. The measurement of lactate dehydrogenase is intended to be used to aid to identify liver disease, myocardial infarction, renal disease, muscular dystrophy, and anemia, in patient risk population. This kit is intended to be used by healthcare professionals in a laboratory-based testing environment.
