Calculated LDL cholesterol concentration
According to the modified Sampson
— mg/dL
Background information
This calculator estimates LDL cholesterol concentration using Modified Sampson equations for either conventional units (mg/dL) or SI units (mmol/L).
The calculated LDL cholesterol value should always be interpreted together with the patient’s clinical condition and other lipid profile results.
Conventional units:
LDL cholesterol co = CHOL − HDLn − TRIG/8.37 − TRIG × (CHOL − HDLn)/2640 + TRIG²/17400
SI units:
LDL cholesterol si = CHOL − HDLn − TRIG/3.65 − TRIG × (CHOL − HDLn)/29.81 + TRIG²/85.77
Note:
This formula is only compatible with the HDLn method using the HBL0110 reagent kit.
