1. Firmware update (version 3.09S)
2. Software update (version 1.5.3.16)
3. New application sheets/method files

The Firmware update is mandatory. It requires meticulous adherence to the firmware upgrade procedure and must be performed by a trained technician of a Cypress Diagnostics distributor. Contact our local partner to upgrade your CYANElite 290 analyzer.

Below is a short summary of the modifications.

Firmware

This new firmware is fully compatible with all existing CYANElite 290 instruments.

The key firmware modifications of version 3.09S are:

1. Improved and equalized the heating of the reaction cuvettes during the incubations.
2. Solved bugs.
3. Improved management of the movements during the check level in ‘Run’ state.
4. Improvement of the calculation model.
5. Improvement of reading data processing

Software

The new software version 1.5.3.16 replaces all the previously commercially released software versions on all devices.

The key software modifications of version 1.5.3.16 are:

1. Fixed bugs
2. Enhanced the .csv export file: the patient name is now included (if defined).
3. New Data module named ‘Reference values’ to manage all sample reference values (min. – max.) from a single interface for all methods.
4. Quickly change the group of a method directly from the method tab through a drop-down menu.
5. Implemented multi-monitor possibility to open Hi software on a secondary monitor.
6. Enhanced the history logs with the display of the replacement of components (lamp, pumps,…).
7. Possibility to enable or disable the refrigeration of the cooling plate.
8. Warm-up displayed in upper status bar, which disappears once at 38°C.
9. Added the ‘Maintenance’ section in the Admin Settings where all settings related to the maintenance panel and subsections will be located.
10. Added new settings in the ‘Admin Settings – Report’ menu with the possibility to hide the min. – max. values and the ‘Evaluation’ column on the sample report printouts.
11. Added a test result journal that traces the value of a result through time as well as the status of the test when the result was changed.
12. Added a check to ensure that the newly created Password meets the minimum difficulty requirements.

New application sheets/method files

Specific changes in this release:

• New method 'HDLn' to be used with reagent kit HBL0110 HDL cholesterol.
• Removal Mindray references due to stop Mindray kits for ALB, CA, CHOL, CRE, GLUC, MG, GOT, GPT, TRIG, TP, and UA.
• Update the reference ranges for TP to 6.6 - 8.3 g/dL.
• Adjusted the recommended dilution for GOT and GPT from 1:10 to 1:5 in 'Measuring range' section.
