Last week, we were in Kigali for a two-day event with our distributor.
Day 1: Laboratory symposium
We opened with a question every lab manager faces: where does the money go? Our first session walked through the pyramid of costs in a clinical laboratory: how fixed and variable costs differ, and how to structure operations to get more out of every franc invested. The second session turned to quality control: metrological traceability, calibration, day-to-day QC practice, and why regularity makes the difference between chance and structurally established data.
The Q&A that followed was lively, and the conversation carried on over lunch. Thank you to all the participating laboratories for your questions and openness.
Day 2: In the field
We visited several key customers to learn how their labs are organized and hear their feedback firsthand. We closed with a sales training for our distributor’s team. We hold events like this because good diagnostics require more than kits and instruments. Correct diagnostics require sound management, reliable quality control, commitment, and strong local partnerships.
Thank you to Le Medical Ltd for co-hosting.
