Cypress Diagnostics and Horizon Espoir Rénové Unite 40+ Professionals Around Laboratory Quality

On Thursday 16th of July 2026, Cypress Diagnostics and its Congolese distribution partner Horizon Espoir Rénové jointly organized a scientific workshop at the in Pointe-Noire, under the theme: "The Importance of Quality Control in the Biomedical Analysis Laboratory".

The event brought together more than forty laboratory professionals, lab technicians and department heads, from clinics, hospitals and private laboratories from Pointe-Noire. It was the first large-scale scientific gathering jointly organized by the two partners, reflecting over fifteen years of shared commitment to raising the standard of in-vitro diagnostics in the Republic of Congo.

The CEO of Cypress Diagnostics then delivered the main presentation, covering the theoretical foundations of laboratory quality control, the role of external quality assessment, and the concrete impact of well-implemented QC programs on patient safety and clinical decision-making.

The session was followed by open Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to engage directly and share their own experience in the field.

Horizon Espoir Rénové has been the trusted in-country partner of Cypress Diagnostics since 2011, distributing and servicing diagnostic equipment across all four corners of the Republic of Congo.
