Updated CYANVision recommendation
We recommend replacing the CYANVision mainboard battery preventively every 2 years.
We recommend that the trained maintenance engineer of our distributors perform this action.
Why replace the battery?
The battery on the CYANVision mainboard keeps the device's CPU clock running. This clock keeps track of the time and date even when the device is switched off or not connected to electricity. When the internal clock stops, the date and time of the CYANVision is reset to 01/01/2020.
This can lead to undesired behavior, including incorrect date storage for patient tests, miscalculated ages, and the inversion of events, where actions taken recently (with the wrong time and date) are incorrectly dated in the far past (01/01/2020) and vice versa.
